Dr. Faina Gelman-Nisanov is a highly skilled and board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and New York. She brings her expertise to North Jersey Gynecology, where she is committed to providing comprehensive GYN care, including well-woman care, family planning, hormone replacement therapy, and hysteroscopic and vaginal surgery. Recognized for her specialized expertise in midlife women’s health, she became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) in 2026.

Dr. Gelman-Nisanov completed her undergraduate and graduate medical degrees at Stony Brook University in New York and has served on the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University Alumni Board of Directors since 2025. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the prestigious Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Deeply committed to public health and her community, she also joined the Cresskill Board of Health in 2025.

As an advocate for patients’ rights, Dr. Gelman-Nisanov fosters a welcoming and open environment for patient education. She values open communication and strives to empower her patients to make well-informed decisions about their health.

She states, “My goal is to provide a comfortable and safe space for a woman to receive and accept care. I want to educate women on their bodies, how they work, how they break, and how they heal. I want women to be empowered by knowledge so that they can navigate this complicated world and our complicated lives.”
